The basics

Pick a tempo and press START. That is all you need to start practicing.

The screen

From the top, the screen shows the beat meter, the BPM, the tempo ruler, the − + buttons and the settings. The bar at the bottom holds the elapsed time, the SOUND, TAP and TIMER buttons, and START / STOP.

Next to the BPM you see the tempo marking (Allegro and so on) and the time signature. While it plays, the beat meter lights up on each beat.

You can also switch the beat meter to a pendulum (see the Display chapter).

Changing the tempo

The BPM goes from 40 to 300. Drag the ruler or press a tick to move in steps of 10.

  • Dragging or clicking the ruler, arrow keys: steps of 10
  • Holding Shift: steps of 1
  • The − + buttons: steps of 1. Hold to keep going, faster the longer you hold

If the value is not a multiple of 10, an arrow key snaps it to the next multiple of 10 in that direction.

Tempo and beat presets

The Tempo and Beat sections show buttons for the values you use most. Press one to switch.
